Ricardo Rodriguez, 42, of Worcester, was arrested on Saturday, April 15, and charged with two counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and a single charge of distributing a Class D drug, Auburn police logs show.

Officers responded to a 911 call about a fight just after noon, where they found two men bleeding from knife wounds, authorities said. They told police they had gotten into a traffic dispute with Rodriguez, which escalated. It's unclear what sparked the argument.

They pulled into the mall parking lot at 385 Southbridge St., where a fight broke out. That's when they say Rodriguez grabbed a knife and slashed them, authorities noted.

Responders took the men to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
